About Us

May 15th, 2007

The Time Cycles is a band who creates new and interesting variations on trip-hop music, just the way it should be.

The three members are Lil, Dave Ashe and Infinit-E.

We are currently mixing real drums with electronic, and experimenting with playing different instruments through resonators.

With the bass, sometimes acoustic, sometimes electronic depending on the mood of the music.

Our main software that we use is Ableton Live, which gets us where we want quicker than any software, plus it allows us to just hit record and jam away and record variations of playing our own-made loops and parts without sitting there drawing boxes on the screen.

We’ve been creating a lot of music recently which has vocals in it, but Yes, we do create instrumental music as well, and we will release our album in both instrumental and vocal editions just to keep everyone happy..

nice. i was going to ask about the software used.
lol @ drawing boxes… i still love my buzz tho.

just got ableton recently, it’s pretty sweet. a couple things about it confurple me. plus i’m running a slow system. i’ve been using it a good bit though. is there a way to create buses or something to that effect? my cpu peaks out pretty quick after adding chains to a couple tracks and a lot of the time its redundant effects that could be bussed.

still loving the sound. listening to timeworks again now.

    cheers!
